An Approved Person that is accredited by Queensland Transport and Main Roads conducts the inspection for the Roadworthy Certificate. Mobile inspections are available in Queensland that allows an Approved Mobile Unit to attend your vehicle either at home, work or wherever it may be located at the time of inspection.

Not all examiners can complete inspections on all classes of vehicles.

M1 Safety Certificates® mobile units are fully equipped to complete the inspection on site. All we require is access to the vehicle at the time of inspection.

Our friendly and experienced team take the time to make sure that your vehicle is safe and road worthy in line with the guidelines set in the Code of Practice by Queensland Transport and Main Roads.

The inspection is a basic check that the vehicle meets these minimum standards. This does not mean that the vehicle is in perfect working order. An example of this is a vehicle will pass a Roadworthy Certificate Inspection if an oil leak is present but is not dripping onto the road surface or onto the exhaust at the time of inspection.

If there are any defects that need repairs the Transport Department allows you 14 days to complete the repairs. This includes weekends and public holidays.

Within that time, once completed, contact M1 Safety Certificates office on to make an appointment for a re-inspection. A re-inspection fee does apply for mobile services.

If the vehicle meets all the requirements on the first inspection, you are issued the Roadworthy Certificate on the spot.
