Heavy vehicles that require a COI (Certificate of Inspection) are:<\/p><\/div>

Firstly, the Queensland Transport department allows you 14 days from the first inspection date to have any defects repaired.<\/p>
Secondly, call us on 1300 671 233 when the repairs are completed. \u00a0We will come and complete the second inspection.<\/p>

The examiner will check those items that failed the first inspection and issue the completed COI.<\/p>
That is to say these repairs have been completed within the minimum standard set out by the rules within the\u00a0National Heavy vehicle Regulator.<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
Your vehicle heavy vehicle is required to have a valid Certificate of Inspection every 12 months.\u00a0<\/p>
Moreover, Queensland Transport and Main Roads will send a reminder notice approx. 12 weeks prior.<\/p>
However, COI’s are a time sensitive Certificate.\u00a0<\/p>
The timing of when to get a COI completed can be confusing.\u00a0<\/p>
Question: What happens when you get your COI issued up to one month before the COI due date?<\/p>
Answer: The new Certificate will not be allocated to the vehicle until the previous Certificate of Inspection expires.<\/span><\/p>
Question: But what if you get the COI is issued more than a month\u00a0before the COI due date?<\/span><\/p>
Answer: The new COI due date will become the valid certificate date.<\/span><\/p>
Most importantly, you will need to contact Queensland Transport if you do not complete the inspection on time.<\/p>
